As a clinical social worker (LCSW) in New York State, I'm required to complete 36 hours of continuing education every three years. If you're like me, those hours are hard to find the time for. Between back-to-back clients, writing notes, treatment plans, case conferences, and everything else on your plate there isn’t much room to squeeze it in.
So I went looking for something better. Courses I could actually finish on my phone on the train, or on my laptop between sessions, not just a PDF and a quiz. I kept coming up empty.
Our attention spans are changing, and how we learn is changing with them. Education has to catch up.
After years in the field and more CEUs than I can count, I became a certified CEU Educator for Social Workers in New York. I got to work building the courses I wished existed. I hope they help you too.
